How to tie a jiu jitsu belt
Submission Grappling is a new sport with a long history. The objective is to submit your opponent using a variety of joint locks and chokes, or to win the match by points. Competitions in this sport resemble Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions, although competitors do not usually wear gis. This lack of gi increases the amount of speed and athleticism required, and it also limits the sweeping and submission options of the competitors.
Submission Grappling is mainly based on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The influence of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be seen in the types of positions and submissions most commonly used in the sport.

Our team at Storm BJJ Academy in Dade City, Florida is dedicated to providing expert training in No-Gi Submission Grappling for individuals of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. We are fully committed to empowering lives through the art of Jiu-Jitsu.

In our classes, we build upon the foundation established in the Beginner's Class, focusing on the nuanced details of fundamental jiu-jitsu techniques and introducing technically complicated strategies, techniques, and setups.

We guide students to push their limits through training with peers, advanced students, and coaches. The primary goal of the class is to firmly instill the core movements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu into muscle memory and familiarize students with using proper techniques under physical fatigue and stress.
